It's one of the 7 deadly sins.....

and I have it bad.
Jealousy.
I hate it.
I HATE feeling jealous.
Wes's best friend is proposing to his girlfriend on the 4th of July. She's knows its coming as they've been house hunting. She's Italian ad cant move out of the house until she is engaged. The ring is a $12,000 beautiful 3 stone ring. Both her parents and his parents have money. Lots of it. Both sets of parents are giving them $100,000 (apiece) for the house they will move into. In addition to paying for the "wedding of her dreams". Judging by the 15 pairs of prada, gucci and LV shoes she has, this is going to be an expensive wedding.
WE work our asses off and bought our own condo that we are now stuck with because of the market. We want to move into a house so badly so that we can have a 3rd bedroom (so Wes can keep his office AND have a nursery) and a yard for the dog to run around in.
She doesn't have to work- she will be a "housewife". Really, what that means for her is that she will shop all day. She is going from her parents money to her husbands money. That's it.
He's in for a rude awakening when they move in together. Ive seen her room at her parents house. She still lives like a teenager.

Now, before you go judging me for being jealous of the situation (not her, the situation) she is such a bitch. To everyone. She puts down everyone that's not like her.
She wore a completely white, formal dress to my wedding. and knew exactly what she was doing was wrong. I was "bragging" about the great deal I got at Kohls a few weeks ago and she laughed and said that you'd never catch her in that store. Made me feel about an inch tall.

But she has my husbands friend in the palm of her hand. Shes gorgeous, petite, and treats the friend like royalty. He loves her to death. Put her up on a pedestal and will never take her down.

About a year ago she left him for another man. When she realized that this other guy wasn't going to treat her the way my husbands friend did and she went crawling back to him. Of course, he took her back right away. Then bought her a pair of $800 LV shoes that she wanted.
Ugh.
The reason I'm jealous is because we work so hard and cant afford to move out of our house. We love each other unconditionally and treat each other with the up most love and respect. We do not have things handed to us. At all. And my parents have money. We don't see any of it.
Wes's friend does work hard for his money, and deserves the good things that he gets. Yes, his parents and hers are giving them a lot of money- but he is a good guy and deserves these things. SHE does not.
Ugh. Why cant i just let it go and not be jealous?
I totally understand why its one of the 7 deadly sins now.
I just smile and pretend to be happy for them. PRAYING that she turns over a new leaf and becomes the person that he deserves. Hoping that one day she will appreciate the little things in life and love him for the good man that he is.

  1. I have a real hard time with jealousy too, especially in those situations where the person getting EVERYTHING doesn't deserve a darn thing. Just gotta try to roll with it...
